05/27/2015 - ESox Ramping Up Workouts

The ESox began ramping up their workouts this week in preparation for the season opener on Thursday. Most notable attendee at Monday's practice was the return of Erik Nelson after a brief stint in the Chinese softball leagues, and overseas recruiting. He was able to secure the top prospect available and sign him to an ESox contract....himself. Other familiar faces in attedance were Nick Leer and PLoach (that's player coach) Andy Bartz, who is aiming for Manager of the Year accolades. Old man McDermott, first player in ESox history to produce a known offspring on purpose, was in attendance and was still able to swing a bat and have it hit a ball.

As is Esox tradition, they will begin the season with league play on Thursday against one of the top teams in the state in St. Louis Park, and then travel to Dundas to take on the Dukes at 7:30 Friday night.
